At our facility, the health and well-being of our residents is always our top priority. We understand the importance of visits from family and friends for their emotional and mental well-being. To ensure the safety of everyone, we ask that you carefully plan your visit, keeping the health of our residents in mind.
Please refrain from visiting if you have any of the following symptoms, even if you plan to wear a mask:
- Fever or chills
- New or persistent cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
If you are experiencing respiratory symptoms, we encourage you to contact your healthcare provider and reschedule your visit for another day.
During your visit, please follow these core health and safety guidelines:
- Upon arrival, as well as before and after entering a resident’s room, sanitize your hands with alcohol-based hand sanitizer or wash them for at least 20 seconds.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Keep your visit confined to your loved one’s room or designated visitation areas (e.g., day room, common area, porch).
- Limit touching surfaces inside the resident’s room and while moving through the facility.
- Wear any personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed by staff, and remove it before leaving your loved one’s room.
- If you need assistance with PPE, feel free to ask—we’re happy to help!
- Wash your hands after removing PPE and before exiting.
- If you need to cough or sneeze, please use your sleeve or a tissue, and follow proper cough etiquette.
- If you have mild respiratory symptoms and have been cleared by our Infection Preventionist to visit, please:
- Wear a medical face mask throughout your visit.
- Keep the mask on until you leave the facility.
- Avoid touching the outside of your mask.
While in the facility and after your visit, please monitor yourself for any respiratory symptoms. If you begin to feel unwell, please let us know immediately. These guidelines help us maintain a safe and healthy environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
